stright pipe questions

Default stright pipe questions

I have a 09 jetta TDI and I wanted to straight pipe it but what are the pros and cons?
I'm nee to the diesel world.

May need to have emissions sensors deleted to make the computer happy. The engine will breath better, and in theory should have a slight gain in HP/TQ and mileage. Depending who you are, it will be louder, and that's a pro and a con at the same time.

ok thanks for the info i youtubed it. someone was telling me you dont wanna go over 2.5 in or do a cat drop cause back pressure.

Malone tuning does the delete. If your lokking for a streight pipe downpipe, im located in socal and im selling a dpe one.

I not a tdi expert, but I can't see how no cat would be a bad thing. Back pressure would only work against your turbo. I don't have a cat in my duramax and I plan on cutting it out of my tdi vw when I buy one here in the next month or so.

Only benefits. Malone is the man for the tuning involved. I manufacture downpipes/full exhausts for the CR's if you need. PM me if you wish.
