Default New to Cummins need advice

I recently bought a 2003 dodge 2500 Cummins HO. Truck has 132k on it and i am the third owner. I am new to diesels so any help will be appreciated trucks mods are as follows edge juice with attitude programer, 5" turbo back straight pipe into dual 8" stacks, airdog 100 fuel pump, goerend transmission billet internals and has 35" tires with leveling kit. I am having trouble with egts being high on short 0-60 runs and crusing at 70 on highway egts jump up to 1400 if i get on it. Truck also doesnt seem to pull much after 1st or 2nd gear. As far as i know everything else on truck is stock where should i start on lowering egts and getting more speed on short runs.

I love edge for 2nd gens but they are not the ideal programmer for a CR I would suggest looking at a smarty and also start saving up for a turbo upgrade.

Ok i am gona try a S and B intake first and see what that does. It couldnt do anything but help it. If its still the same then i would believe it is the edge programer. I know if i switch it between all 5 modes it doesnt seem to make a difference and mode 5 seems to give the best gas mileage which doesnt make sense.

the egt's should definitely be at least a little lower on low horsepower modes, and higher on the max horsepower modes. get you a manual gauge, it should be more accurate also. and no the intake wont hurt, itll help it, especially if you are running a stock one right now

Up for sale?If so where at on ebay? I was thinking of getting the s&b whole intake and ram air system most of the threads i been reading just makes banks seem overpriced for the same amount of power and flow increase as s&b.

Sounds like your slipping the converter hard down low. What does the trans fluid look like? Check the manifold at idle with a temp gun and compare in cab versus what's on the infa red gun. Your problem isn't an intake. I know of quite a few trucks well over 400 on a stock intake keeping egt's in check and rolling fine
