Hey guys i have a 92 Chevy k1500 4x4 long bed ext cab im looking at making a daily driver for now. It has the 5.7 350 and 5 speed right now, i guess they call it the heavy half ton. What i was wondering, im looking at swapping a diesel into it. I like the cummins because i have owned one before but which one would fit better with less work? Im mainly looking for mpg and later on i plan on doing things to it but it will have to wait until im done with school. So my question right now is will the duramax or cummins be the best fit for me, eventually want to have around 1000 horsepower and make it just a toy so what do you feel is the best platform to do this kind of power?
