Default dt466 dying due to fuel issue

we have a dt466 in a truck here at work and it will run for a little while which is long enough to get up to speed and drive appx. 2 miles then it dies. you can then prime it and it will run for about the same distance/time. we have changed the fuel filters and it still seems to act the same.

Anybody got any tips i'm not really farimilar with these engines. Also this is in a 1980's international 4700 module truck.

Very common for the rubber hoses around the injector pump to dry rot, and seep air in. Usually it happens after it shuts off.
You can still get them from a local IH dealer, just have the last 8 of the VIN ready.
To test, you can put about 5 pounds of air pressure to the tank, and see if little leaks appear.
