Can I set all the settings back to stock on my 08 cummins with the smarty programmer. Then use a different brand of programmer without any problems?

Ok, cause I am going to take the smarty i have now off and get one that has the dpf/egr delete on it so i can straight pipe it.

 

i dont mind you telling that statement aint hittin on all cylinders

 

Smarty, IMO, is THE tuner for EGR/DPF deletes. If you're referring to using a Smarty on the "S" version, then you would have no problem reloading the software for the "ME" version and then reusing it. It appears you have not done your research and are costly ignorant. DO NOT get rid of your Smarty just because it will not work with the deletes. If you need help reloading software on it, there are plenty of well-educated, diesel savvy people on this forum; probably the most on the internet.

 

Set your truck to stock and download the ME software for your Smarty.

Ok, I am sorry I didn't do all my reasearch. But that helps alot and since I will straight pipe it what is the best exhaust I can get to use? Like flo pro or what?
