I have a 1985 S10 Blazer 4x4 with a 2.8L at the moment and I was thinking about putting a 6.2L diesel out of a army truck and putting a banks sidewinder turbo kit on it with a 4 or 5 speed tranny hooked up to some kind of transfer case. keeping the IFS because I just replaced the suspension two years ago.

 

A 6.2 will bea big boost in power compared to a 2.8 I would think you will need a 88 or newer transmision and transfer case due to the fact you will be using your IFS in your truck good luck with the build and try and post some pictures
