Best oil and fuel additives?

I understand oil is changing these days, less ZDDP and other additives to keep up with EPA standards for new cars I believe. Does this mean anything for our 12v's? Reading through other posts it seems people like Rotella, Delvac, and Mystik I believe. I know the formulas of Rotella have changed, but once again does it matter?
And while we are at it, what is the best bang for the buck fuel additive? I keep seeing 2 stroke boat oil? If so what is the preferred concentration?
It seems silly we have to make all of these considerations with fuel and oil, but the EPA keeps messing things up. Sorry, I am new to CTD's, thanks in advance.

With your 12v, you can run any oil out there. If you can find some older CI-4+ rated out...and there are some out there:) , you can continue to run those.
Does it matter...no, not really. The newer oils do have different formulations but they have shown to provide just as good of protection. The older oils might have a little better longevity to them if that is a priority.

Your joking right? If nothing else please make sure you do not use their fuel treatment in a diesel vehicle!!

Not only does lucas oil additives score low in independent test iirc, but their fuel treatment contains a high level of alcohol Which can destroy entire fuel systems, it make water separation systems useless and suspends the water in the fuel. Many a common rail has taken a hit because of such fuel additives as lucas and seafoam
