I sell oil/ power service. I went to my first power service training class and wow is all i can say. they know thier crap. I have always wondered...but now i have seen proof. They work with walmart trucking for testing and showed us the proof of what thier product does. they took a truck with about 250k on the injectors and pulled them, took pics, ran them through a test machine and took pics of the spray pattern. then put them back in (dirty) and ran 1 tank full of power service diesel kleen ( approx 10hrs of driving) and pulled it back into the shop and did the test over agian. They were completely clean with a perfect spray pattern out of the injectors. If you use a bottle of diesel kleen (power service) then start using the regular power service in every tank, you wont have a problem. Another thing with this new low sulphur fuel we HAVE to buy there is not enough sulfer to displace the water in it. most think that the sulfer is just for lubrication, but actually it was to collect water and disperse it. Power service new formula makes up for the loss of sulphur and breaks down the water on a molecular level to be burned worry free, and also provides excellent lubrication! Go with Power service products, you won't be let down.:tu:

I'm with Blue2003 and prefer to use Lucas injector cleaner as it does not contain solvents to clean the injectors unlike Power Service that contain solvents like Naphtha aka paint thinner, lighter fluid :scare2: This year for anti gel I am trying out Howe's as I've been told it does not contain solvents.

I use atf to fill filters when changing.Cleans injectors good.

Today ATF is filled with all kinds of additive like friction modifers, additive prevent scorching the fluid, etc.. These chemical don't burn very well comared to the old tymers that used ATf back in the 70's. This was basically red dyed hydraulic fluid without additives... So be aware that times have changed... :humm:

Well for some reason my diesel starts better on atf than diesel fuel. However I use type F for old Fords.

Hmmm... You might got other issues that your masking with the ATF...

No problems its easier to fill filter when changing them with ATF than sucking diesel from tank.I fill filter so bleeding is not not needed.Beside Fattywagon instructed me to do so.

I refill the canister with Sea foam when I change mine. Cleans the system nd it's flushed out of the system within seconds so nothin left to hurt the pump.

Oh I love seafoam,but too pricecy,but have used power service,Marvel Oil,and turpentine.
Turpintine mixed with diesel(one quart to 20 gals) will make your diesel run like a scadled dog.
