we currently have a 1952 i believe john deere G, we bled green all the way til dad bought his kubota its a 35-40 horse with loader,grader blade, bush hog, box blade and a finish mower. the G is in the process of getting restored it was my granpas pride and joy after we got rid of the 4 4020's that we had:rocking:

when my grandfather used to grow apples and cherrys he had 2 john deeres 1 was a 2240 and a 2355 none of those 2 i liked he also had one massy 165 diesel him and i both loved the massy.

I don't know if I had it when I posted, but we got an IH 684 in 2 pieces after it rolled down a hill and hit a tree, put it all together and it's a great machine... I found the MF 165's don't have much for lugging power, and they don't have the traction to find their way out of a wet paper bag... We've got one with 1800 hrs (diesel) and it is a great tractor for a 9' swather and the rest of the lighter haying equipment since it turns super sharp. We used to have a JD 950 (Yanmar, 30 hp) which was an amazing tractor and it did really well for it's power rating..... transmission was a little weak for what we asked of it though
Currently looking at an Allis Chalmers wheel loader for $3500 that needs a head gasket... would be a nice pairing to the HD6 we restored |

Got a Massey 165 that came with my farm, did a restoration on it back in 2005. Also have a Massey 461 with a loader, 2006 model.
