Yes... a Volkswagen that will smoke 95% of the average cars on the road while getting 63mpg and holding 4 people comfortably, while having the ability to tow motorcycles, logs, 4wheelers, small campers etc, is gay. Get a life.

I think it's just a cover up for them being junk products.

Edge makes some good products for the duramax and cummins. So I would say they are junk products. I used to run an edge evolution on mine and I was very happy with it for what it was.

Edge and Superchips both make very good products, for all brands, but they are more geared to the 6.4 and up Fords, 5.9 Cummins and 6.6 Duramax.

It has nothing to do with "junk" products and everything to do with people deleting the DPF's and then running them on the street.

here you go...

North Carolina General Statutes § 20-128.1 Control of visible emissions

to emit visible air contaminants under any mode of operation for longer than five

powerstrokendually, you have no idea what your talking about. Your sister/wife might think its cool but no one else does.

on a side note i think the dpf is a waste of money, theres 800 hp trucks running with very little smoke. i think the big 3 could tune the trucks to make no smoke and get better fuel mileage without the dpf which robs mpgs anyway
just my .02 cents

to answer your question and get some smoke/ power, get a 6pos. ts chip built by tony wildman. also get some guages.

Guess again there is a fine in NC for removal of emissions equipment. And by law you will not meet the guidelines of a dmv inspection or pass state inspections. How do I know? I am licensed NC inspector. Next the fine for dpf is a federal fine and its executed due to failure to comply with emission equipment requirements after a notice. Next I bet you'll say "my buddies will inspect it" and you'll be happy to know that your putting buddies job at risk as well as his license to inspect, his bosses license to inspect and entire company. He could even get a felony charge and up to 25k in fines.

You must be 13

Just a note, if you will research the inspection law you'll see that any vehicle built with emissions equipment must have said equipment present for a passed inspection. Its not required to be oem but must meet all oem requirements. In NC you can fail a vehicle for one led in a 3rd brake light not operating.

Right here lill buddy. I have a built 06 pumpe duse TDI. Makes almost no smoke and bakes the tires off the front end at 35-40 mph. My 96 PSD makes almost no smoke even in extreme tune with stg 2 rosewoods. If you really want smoke do the walmart plastic bag over your air filter mod. It's cheap and gauranteed to smoke.:moon:
