Ive done everything on the truck myself or with the help of friends, saves a ton of money when you dont have to pay someone to do the work on your truck. For the next step I wouldnt do a torque converter, Id save up for a full built trans. You could also consider some stage 1 injectors or an intercooler
roughly how much for a full trans build? once i sell my old ranger i should have aorund 5k to put into the truck, try and get her into the 14's =)
For a full built trans Id go straight to a BTS (brians truck shop) they build the best E4OD and 4R100 transmissions hands down, they cost about 4100
thats:edit: crazy amount... damn. that much into the tranny? thats half of what my truck is worth, lol
thats what happens when you have an auto!!! LoL:tttt:
i'm almost in the 14's with my 2wd 5 speed so i would assume you could get into the 14's with stage 1 injectors and tuning. of course for this stuff you need the trans, HPX line, FPR shim at the least, but electric fuel is nice, go ahead and do the 120v or 140v IDM, etc... Lol |

Well at the Div 2 NHRDA Diesel drags this weekend I ran a 15.75 Quarter Mile and Dyno'ed at 243 HP... did not end up sled pulling but the truck ran faster than I though considering stock it ran 18.69... good weekend, now I think I need to find some good injectors

I was thinking about doing something with my truck, but I was told a chip will not do much for me because my truck is standard shift is that true if not what would it do for my truck.
Chip will bring your truck alive, i know from experience
