6.7 with DPF removed and a smarty - setting invisible code
I have a 6.7 and pulled the DPF as well as egr and cooler. i have the egr motor still plugged in and ziptied to the side .... everything done correctly as i understood it. About every 500 miles i get the overhead ding ding see dealer now .... after another couple hundred miles it feels like it derates itself .... when i plug in the smart it shows no codes, i clear the no codes and poof back to good to go.
Anyone else have this? |
I would re-check the plugs and connectors you pulled and make sure you got them all, and not pull one you need like the EGR motor.
|
rechecked, found no issues.
I will just continue clearing the code. i have seen a few other complaints about this. |
what version are you running. i still get the overhead but not that often.
|
I get the same thing
I get the phantom as well. I just reset the invisible code using the smarty and it is ok for another several hundred miles.
I wish I would not have to though.:humm: |
I've had the "See Dealer" message come up one time in the 20Kmiles I've racked up since my deletes. I cleared it and it hasn't come back. For what it's worth, I'm running 14ME. I never noticed a loss of power at all when it did come up though.
|
mine will start to lose power after about 2 weeks of not clearing it. The wife drives it everyday .... i know because she tells me the dodge is getting slower and slower ... i will clear it and she notices right away.
we had similar power issues when running the H&S sims, before the smarty ... ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I got a pm from diesel pap, basicly asking me to go over what i have done ... as i was doing my run down of explaining i came to the pressure sensor. Now, i have the plumbing removed BUT had the sensor still plugged in. I just now unplugged it. Perhaps this is where i went wrong ? |
call me anytime. maybe i can help:tu:
|
Which pressure sensor are you referring to?
|
The one with the 2 hoses coming off it. Up against the floorboard.
Light came on immediatly with it unplugged ... plugged back in, cleared the code ... gonna leave it alone. I am thinking of going with a bullydog watchdog, that should clear the code whenever i want it to and get a nice display as well. |
