High EGTs
Just installed my egt probe on the truck, on an 80 HP tune the truck says its hitting 1600 degrees @ 95mph. I have a S&B and a DPF delete so I would expect much lower temps... Is this normal or did I install the probe wrong or something. :humm:

what rpm were you at 95 Mph. were you cruising at the speed or were you still acceralating. i think the probe has to be a half of an inch out in the pipe or something like that. dont quote me on this though. also were did you mount the probe

On the manifold, as per instructions from the EDGE manual

Cant remember exactly. I was more interested in the pyro :ohno:

something is wrong because it shouldnt be that high. oh is your truck still doing a regen even though you took out the dpf
|
Hmmm. I would hope not, even though I think my delete kit is a POS (BADP) The edge is supposed to notify me of the truck entering regen as well :humm:

i dont know cummins real well so i was trying to cover the basics. i would check on the regen. that could defeintely do it to your temps. high speed along with high revs plus with a regen will make crazy temps

Who knows. Maybe ill get a smarty and use it for the delete. Oh well. lets see if anyone else posts up that has had a simular issue. :pca1:

yeah its really annoying me now why it would do that
