DPF FOOLERS

I put a DPF delete pipe on my truck but it didnt come with any foolers. Sooo my friend looked it up for me and said we can use resistors and it works the same. Is this true and if so what resistors? And if it dont work where can i buy just the foolers?

Thanks for any and all help

Not sure whose delete pipe you have, but you would probably be best off talking to whoever made your kit. They should be able to get you fixed up. I'm sure somebody else will chime in before too long.

I got my pipe off ebay and it is made by flow pro. SO i wont have any help there.

Thanks

Thanks for recomending him. Hopefully he can take care of me and get me everything i need for my truck. Im kinda new at this whole diesel thing. And coming into it new with a 6.7 doesnt help any.

I helped him with the DPF delete, and was wondering, someone said that the resistors dont work... But my question is we put reistors in the back 2 senors and the one closest to the turbo is still installed.. IF the reistors didnt work, wouldnt he get a code for 2 senors? my thinking is, we put 680ohm resistors in the 2 plugs we took out.. i had done a lot of reading before we did this and had alot of guys putting 1k in the front and then 680 in the back.. but then i also read that someone took apart the H&S foolers and said they were just 320ohm resistors wrapped in some plastic.... So what i am thinking.. we should go to radioshack and get some 320ohm resistors and stick in there.. I was messing with his truck last night, checked the codes and it was only throwing the egr code for being unplugged and the DPF pressure code for the pressure box being unplugged... so we started it up and let it run for probably 15min and no other codes showed up... We did the key cycle trick, and no codes popped up so... Someone please chime in if i am wrong or not... Go get some 320ohm resistors and stick in them??:moon:

there called simm plug and play ,,theres 3 of them and they work great? i have the complete flo-pro system and its awsome love it...you can get them from purecummins.com

1985johndeere 02-14-2009 09:41 PM

are all 3 simms for the exhaust or is one for the pressure box?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

If none of them are for the pressure box, what should i do with it? leave it unplugged or plug it back in?

theres 1 sims for each of the sencors ,,and the air hose thing all i did was run them into each other,,its been like that for almost a year and no issues..knock on wood lol

Thats wat we thought about doing, just making a loop with the lines, but we had heard that running it like that isnt good... But obviously if you have been running it like that for almost a year, i guess it has to be ok, I know Brandon (1985johndeere) doesnt want any codes, so...

You say 1 sim per each sensor, he stil has 1 sensor still in the exhaust... just the back 2 sensors are out for the FloPro DPF delete to go in..

What I have done with my 2012 cummins is gone with the bullydog gt tuner but I would just like some noise now is it best to fool the dpf and just put in a straight pipe or is their a way to leave in the dpf and make noise after that?

Smittyloopster 01-15-2014 04:40 AM

how do you tell if you have these simm's I bought my truck with the dpf gone... :humm:
