cylinder #4 misfire
so on my way home tonight i was driving on the highway with my crews on 70 then my check engine light came on and gave me a p0304 code (clyd #4 misfire) then my truck had a little shake to it so i drove about 10mi til i got off the exit and pulled over and listend to my exhaust and you can really tell its misfireing...what to do? i dont know what might have caused it...any ideas?

I say have the injector checked could be the problem just my .02. I'm sure someone more knowlegable than me will be along shortly
Had the same problem, it was a bad injector, at the same time I had another one changed out as it had high resistance.
My tech said that it he has changed a number of them. |
did you have to replace the #4 one, a buddy from work had his #4 go bad too
I have replaces several sets of injectors at work in a 6.7 due to a miss. there junk. hopefully you wont be back to have another one or 6 done like many have! :scare2:
got it fixed put a whole new injector got it done friday... and 24hrs later 1&2 now went so im pretty pissed off about that going to fix them and take my black maxx off i think thats the cause
I don't think the blackmaxx is the problem I run mine with a pressure box with no injector issues the main cause of injector failure is water in fuel the water gets into injector internals and causes them to fail your water seperator on your truck is not adequate protection. Just my .02 the 6.7 has some of the best injectors available stock my truck made over 600HP on completely stock injectors
same here ive made 600 on stock injectors and im now running a pressure box and so far knock on wood i havebt had any problems and the blackmaxx has the same programs as an Xrt....i would look elsewhere for your problems its not the blackmaxx
