I am out of warranty I bought it used. I put about 20000 miles on it with no problems. I am trying to keep from taking it to the dealer. DPF delete has been recomended but I dont know if I want to do that.

For what it's worth, I haven't any any trouble with mine at all since I did my deletes. I was a bit concerned, just like you are. Looking back, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
My mileage is up a considerable amount, and problems have been nonexistent. The extra power is just icing on the cake.

Thank You for the information. Is it legal to do the delete?

Technically speaking, no, it's not legal. If you're state is pretty hardnosed about inspections, you will want to keep all your stock parts intact, and put them back on when it's time to have it inspected.
With two people working together, you should be able to have it put back to stock in three to four hours tops.
It may seem like an inconvenience and a pain...it's both, but the performance benefits, as well as the mileage benefits are well worth the time and money investment in my book.
Another alternative where the exhaust is concerned would be to fabricate a stealth system using a gutted downpipe, DPF and NOX trap. Then it's just a matter of having to put the egr back in place for inspection. With a tuner such as the Smarty or XRT, you'll be able to turn the EGR and DPF regen off in the computer, which will help your mileage out a bunch.
Where are you located? If I can be of any more help, let me know.
