just FYI, the kits you can order with the plug and all do nothing as the plug won't fit if you have an after market air intake. Mine was threaded and I just put in a SS half inch fine thread bolt from some dark can in the garage. Works great and the elbow filter give finished apperance under the hood. I ordered a Glacier open breather kit. Geno's is sending a new filter at over $50 savings over dealer even with shipping. plans are to experiment with gutting filter as I have seen others do and just replacing. the 90* elbow has a 3/4 od on my kit. Improvement was immediate and allowed me to reset the overhead finally. :argh:

I removed ccv filter completely and put cover back on removed tube to intake and plugged hole then ran a 3/4 tube for vent down to inside of frame. Cost 6bucks.truck runs awesome

Right now all the oil vapors are going into your intake pre turbo causing oil build up in your turbo.the turbo doesn't like that.by running it a external tube or filter then plug the hole on your intake tube. I removed the filter completely and ran a vent tube down to inside of frame. Did it a month ago and no issues.

have you noticed a big enough difference to justify the work?

Truck seems to run better.don't know about mpg increase still around 20 on the highway only takes around 15 minutes to do the job.

Just ran to Albuquerque and back, little over 900 miles, got 24mpg empty truck no oversized tires, and Red Mountain pass over and back. That's 15 and 20mph posted in most places if you haven't been over it, SW Colorado. Changed the routing down under the frame from the intake pipe and empty ccv filter. :w2:
