Re: Air filter question?

K&n offers some of the worst filtration on the market. Put one on your truck run it a week and take a look at your compressor wheel.

Didn't want to be too blunt with those members:humm: but no guy that I know will put a K & N, they rather stay with the factory filter

Re: Air filter question?

Lol hold a light up to the filters and see which you can see more light through. I replace k&n filters with factory filters when they come in for service, leave a nice note that says "this filter is not designed for forced induction, please discontinue use"

I guess I have never thought about it, dealing with k&n isnt something I have to do since I just run a Fleetguard.

Throw a factory filter on it and be done with it, when it sucks the little clicker down replace it. It isn't rocket science and I still make 45lbs and run low 13's in the 1/4 with the 275 Spartan tune.

That what I am doing. I just cant trust a $10k motor with a cone style filter. Although I did figure out DO NOT buy the NAPA filter. I made the check air filter light come on in about 2minutes.:td::nope:
