6.2 non turbo EGT probe?

Where are you guys with non turbo 6.2's putting your EGT probe? Is there a side that runs hotter? Are you putting it in the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust? Thanks.

I don't know why one side would run hotter than the other. Not saying one don't though.

Has anyone put a pyro on a non turbo 6.2?

I would doubt it. I wouldn't get to worried about it unless you put a turbo on it and turn the pump up then I would put on on it. Turning just the fuel up on a 6.2 without the turbo will not gain you much because on of the biggest problems with the 6.2na is they cannot get enough air.

I just want to monitor whats going on. What if I put a probe on each side and run the wires into one and then into the gauge. Would that work? Kinda like splitting the difference, maybe. Maybe ill just forget about it lol.

I understand that. I don't know if running two sensors would split the difference or confuse the gauge. As long as every thing is stock it should be fine if you want to add a turbo or turn up the pump I would put one on it.

Yes. I have a Banks EGT guage on pyro on my truck. I put the sensor in the manifold a couple of inches from where it comes out of the head. Remember of course, that H1's have steel headers to put them in!

Works great!!
