Oil pump interchangeablility (is that a word?)
Well looking into an oil pump now, i am shoppin at oehq.com and looking at a melling oil pump. Are they good? There is one up to 1996 then another from 1997 on. I heard the 97 on pumps were more of an ho pump due to the oil squirters. I am trying to put this ho pump in my non squirter 599 block. Is this possible? Is the assembly the same? Just bigger internals? I think i asked this before on a random thread, but now cant find it.
Do i need to replace the shaft guide? Check this out, i am sorry if im not supposed to post this link, but it is insane!!! Why so much??? I hope i dont need it... Invalid Item |
:link::notworking: i dont know but it should work. it seems like everything is bolt on since the 6.2 so why wouldnt it work

Melling makes alot of replacement SBC gas oil pumps. Have ran them for along time now with out problem. See if you can find a High-volume instead of High-pressure pump,

K, they do interchange. Just asked a friend who is running one!!!
