Who's kit are you using Rob? Mine were just junk in cold weather and got really bad on me later. Shutting off at highway speeds was not cool.

Switch to an 02-04 headlight and run Silverstars in them.

Switch to an 02-04 headlight housing instead of the 05-07 headlights you have now, and run silverstar ultras in them, also a 55w bulb in the fogs will help a lot.

Just got the Ultra's for the mains and the Silverstars for the fogs. The fogs look like a really easy install, but the damn mains look like I need to hire an abnormally small adult or small child with a good grip to install them. Any tips or tricks.

I don't have factory fogs on my truck either. I do have 4 6" 55w Hella's on the front however. |
Because they are brighter, they have a larger reflector in them than the newer lights. I was just saying for the brightest headlights that is the way to go. Its like a 4 inch light versus a 7 inch with the same wattage, the 7 inch is going to be brighter. Why not upgrade the hellas to a higher wattage bulb? On my buddies ranger we installed 130w bulbs in his 700ffs and it made a huge difference.

Havent heard of the Silverstar Zxe's. I run the silverstar ultras. What is the difference between zxe and the ultras?
