I straight piped both my 04 and 05 when I had them a few yrs ago. Deleted both the muffler and the Cat. :tu:

It can only help. It will get louder though, some people might not like it, for the rest of it it's awesome.

No resonator, no cat, no muffler, NO PROBLEM! I'm going to assume that you have a larger 3.5" down tube with that Banks exhaust. If it was a cat back, do yourself a big favor and get one! I started with a Dynomax 4" cat back ended up with an MBRP down tube and no muffler. I dig it.

Karls03, stock trucks have a 3.5" downpipe FYI. You can special order 4", but it's a REAL tight fit, and most will rub the firewall.

OEM downpipes are 3" till they hit the cat.

Oh really? I was always told they were 3.5"... Guess I should have just measured the damn thing myself! Thanks for the info!:c:

well i'd leave the muffler on personally but the cat and everything else would go bye bye

Most 4 inch turbo back systems come with a 3.5 inch down tube. Mine most definitely was NOT 3.5". I know, I did the exhaust work.

The only time I have seen a 4 inch down tube on a 6 liter there was contact with the shackle bolt, not the firewall.

No offense, but don't be afraid to do your own research, "they" are usually full of it.
