Straight Pipe
ok i feel really stupid for asking this but will a straight pipe hurt a 6.0? i have 4" banks monster exhasut now and im wanting to cut all that crap out but im not going to do it if it will do more bad then good. help a newbie out

I straight piped both my 04 and 05 when I had them a few yrs ago. Deleted both the muffler and the Cat. :tu:

It can only help. It will get louder though, some people might not like it, for the rest of it it's awesome.

Karls03, stock trucks have a 3.5" downpipe FYI. You can special order 4", but it's a REAL tight fit, and most will rub the firewall.

OEM downpipes are 3" till they hit the cat.

The only time I have seen a 4 inch down tube on a 6 liter there was contact with the shackle bolt, not the firewall. No offense, but don't be afraid to do your own research, "they" are usually full of it. |
