What do i have to do to make 450hp with 1st gen
hey guys plan on getting a 1st gen when i get back from basic training and i was wondering how hard it would be to get 450hp outta it any feedback would be appreciated

All the basics, plus S362/HT3B, 6x18's, Aero A1000 with big lines all the way, and a trans that will hold it.
Do that, see what you dyno and start fine tuning from there. |
can you put that in laymans terms:humm:

ok where can i get 6x18s and what do i need to do with the ve pump
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- im on a $3500-$4500 budget on this project so how hard would it be with a single turbo |
a good tranny will use up a good amount of that depending on what you have. check with bigbaddieselperfomance.com for injectors and other stuff.

i plan on getting a 5 speed so it will hold up a lil better im still debating on 1st or 2nd gen but i love the 1st gen looks i just want at least 400hp. i was thinking of ddp stage 2 injectors, ddp 3200rpm gov spring, 14mm ve head shaft, bd super b turbo, manifold, and denny t fuel pin. im just out here for suggestions and wondering what kind of power that will make

As for your setup, that's sort of an odd combo to put together and probably wouldn't make much power. Certainly nowhere near 400 rwhp. The 14mm head is for the monster fuel/competition crowd, but the injectors/turbo you picked are weak. The Super B turbo is a 57mm which is VERY small for an aftermarket single for a 12v. It would spool like lightning, but you're not going to make a ton of power with a turbo that small. If you want a great truck that can be fast and VERY driveable, get a 1st gen. If you are dead set on 450rwhp on a budget, get a 2nd gen. |
ok thanks and what turbo/injectors would you recommend and also what to do with the ve pump to gain some extra horses ive heard alot of bad things about them

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- im on a $3500-$4500 budget on this project so how hard would it be with a single turbo 6X18's will be too much for a 1st gen unless u run lots of air and we now offer a "hot rod" VE pump :tu: a good single would work great with a nice set of injectors and pump mods head studs and a new head gasket pump mods and some I/C boots tranny upgrades and some other things :w2: we were 419HP on the dyno with our 1990 2wd 5 speed and did it for less than 2k oh and a side note DDP is over priced a DDP 3200 spring is about 30-40 bucks all it is a GENUINE bosch spring marked up 20 bucks I sell the 3200 springs from bosch for $20 shipped and there injectors are just as marked up I sell SDX and LBD injectors we stand behind them if you EVER have issues and there 400-500 VRS 600-1K with DDP shop around look for good prices and dont be in a hurry to get it all now now now if you want to talk trucks and making HP give me a call I will be glad to help ya out Brice 530-646-4228 |
