ksb dynamic timing question

I am swapping a 93 motor into a 94 chassis. I just did all the mods to the ve including adding an m and h spacer plate to increase the duration of the dynamic timing. My question is, how do I take advantage of the dynamic timing on the ve without using the entire wiring harness from the 93? Can I hotwire the ksb and will that affect the dynamic timing? Thanks guys.

pull the ksb? - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together

According to the diagram in this thread, it is pump pressure that controls the timing advance and the voltage only affects the ksb if the temp is low and the sensor sends voltage. So I would still reap the benefits of the spacer plate with the ksb unhooked? I'm a bit baffled?

Can I run the spacer plate with the ksb unhooked?

a lot of rambling here..but maybe I just answered my own question. I think I am going to leave the sensor in the intake manifold and just run 12 volts to the sensor so the ksb can still be monitored by temperature.

for the dynamic timing advance to work you do NOT need the wireing hooked up, the wire and temp sensor are to shove the pistion to full advance when cold, which you don want anyway.

mine seems to work the opposite, it idles low and with no power to the ksb while cold, once it warms up the ksb recieves power and my idle comes up. i've heard some work one way and others work the other way

It's the difference between the non intercooled and intercooled VEs. In the end they both serve the same function, advance timing on a cold engine.
