The only thorny issue with doing a manual air valve on these trucks is mounting the valve and routing the air lines to/from it. That was the impetus for my valve design/mounting approach. I can't see how you would put something like that up in the headboard to pull a chain from without major headaches doing it. Of course anything is possible with enough ingenuity, but I wasn't going to go there. :nope:

i have never seen one up close before but i figured you wouldn't have to pull to hard. i was going to go thru the hard plastic part right above the seatbelt. and if my memory serves me correct there should be a brace right in that area of the roof, something hard to mount to. then the front of the chain i was figuring on hooking it up to the sun visior bracket, use the same screw that is there. the only thing that i think might be an issue is it might be a little close to my head while regular driving. i was just going to hold a piece of string up and see how it works out before i tore into it. i was trying to get away from putting a big compresser in and trying out one of those little on demand things that come with some of the horns. i don't really have the room for a bigger tank, and didn't want to spend the money for one to mount under the truck. i dont'[ know yet everthing is kinda just floating around in my head right now. i might end up changing the whole truck apperance around. there are about 6 dozen around my area that look almost identical to mine and i am about sick of getting those " i saw you phone calls" when i was two countys over.
