as far as tranny life it will live if you drive calmly but it only takes one hard run "Flooring it" to burn your clutch pacs up. At A minimum put a good valve body in it to increase line pressure. then a TQ and you should be good for a little while. There are some other needed mods to stay alive call Dave at Goerend He will fill you in! Yeah, the SR will eat your converters lunch if your running it on high high (170hp and tm on 4). As soon as I got the ATS on her, she took of like a rocket. |
Get the Sr

so what is the difference in the SR and the JR?
more adjustablity more power why is the jr hard on the tranny and (sorry if im wrong) the SR isnt? |
sr is harder on your tranny turned up. jr is about half power

With the Sr, you can also adjust rail pressure.

ok so what are most of you smarty SR tuned guys putting down with stock transmission ?
thanks luke :tu: |
You don't want to use a stock tranny! Good for one pedal to the metal and your done!
At a minimum you'll need a TQ and VB that will hold for a long time if you control your foot as in NO power launches! I've been quite brutal with mine with just those mods and still no slip. Only issue I had was band adjustment " It better be right" These trannies with a few mods are quite sturdy but in stock form it's easy to smoke the clutches! |
