I would make some phone calls to local diesel shops. Read reviews and more reviews. There are several tuners that can do this remotely- they will ship the V2 or whatever piece you purchase with the tunes loaded. If you need a change they can send files via email or you ship back the unit depending on which one you purchase. I've heard good things about Idaho Rob and Silver Bullet tuning. I have not personally run their tunes though

Reviews won't tell you much. Anyone who gets EFI live is gonna think it's amazing and write a great review. Until you get tunes from a few different tuners, you have nothing to compare it to. Therefore many people may think they got great tunes from Joe down the street when in reality the tunes are not that great, because they haven't had tunes from a good reputable tuner that really knows what they are doing. There is a reason why reputable tuners charge more, better tunes.

If you waste your money on a wicked wheel I'll find someone in PA to kick you in nuts and take your 200. Essentially same feeling and your out 200 either way

So if I get the efi live from someone out of state how will they be able to fine tune it for my truck?
|
A good reputable tuner knows what they are doing. So they know what tunes a stock truck takes and what a truck with performance upgrades takes. Yours being stock, it will be easy to write tunes for it. You can also data log your truck, email the tuner your data log and they can take look at it. Then they can make adjustments if needed.

Yes. You'll need to get the CSP5 with EFI, it may come with it. But that is a knob that you turn to switch tunes on the fly. You will still be able to have an edge insight CTS, but you cannot switch the tunes with the insight CTS. I have EFI live with the CSP5 and i use the edge insight CTS as well for monitoring.
