Also, you're not going to fine a well performing aftermarket turbo that spools as well as a stocker. You're always going to have a little more lag than stock but when it hits, hang on for the ride. :) I'm running an HTT Promax and when I'm fueling hard it will break the tires loose when the turbo finally spools. :up2:

When is spools is the issue. The only real way to solve that is a fancy VVT or a set of twins where by you can deal with both the low end and the highs with the applicable air flow.
Having a medium sized single will result in exactly what you have experienced. A large single is even worse / better (depending on your view). Smaller and your fueling and boost will be problematic but a combo, watch out.:pca1: |
Yep, I've experimented with 3 different turbos and sometimes I wish I would just put my VVT back on but I've got something up my sleeve so the Promax stays on. :pca1:

yup I wish for my stocker back on sometimes also. Those over and under boost codes and limp mode get old quick
