If you are having just 1 box I dont know if I would get the TST. The TST PM3 adds only fueling, where the Edge comp adds fueling and timing.

I tried my PM3 by itself the other day and it wasnt real impressive. Stack it with a a plug and play box, then you have something. At least that was my experience.

If you are staying with 1, I would look into a comp or drag comp. They are tried and true boxes that have been around a long time.

True on the CR vs. VP, just he gave great reviews about the user face and power curve compared to stock.

And I am sure the comp is a good box, but I just don't need all that extra settings for power, when I will not use it. I don't plan on tapping the pump, aleast til I get a TC and VB but that is a ways out. I just wanted something to give me a nice bump for the hills that runs pretty smokeless.

I am grateful for all of the help and advice.

So back on topic, which of the 4 below would you buy.

Diablo Puck (did a tad of research)
TS MVP (deal with a tad surge)
Edge EZ
Smarty with revo

Thank you :c:

Smarty....... after draggin my tractor around with and without, i was pleasantly surprised. I still dont have my tranny built but have but have not ran smarty over 4 and have only had issues that i caused myself. When towing, i turn it down to 1 or 2 and everything has held fine even though i know its just a matter of time on the stock auto.

Plus, if you go smarty and later down the road after your tranny is built, you can stack an edge box and be very satisfied with all the power.

If the cost of Smarty is a little high vs what you want it for, Edge is is a little cheaper is reliable and will give that little extra umphh you are looking for. just my .02 from my experiences. Good Luck

for the price and gains edge comp is the way to go. smarty seems pricey for what you get power wise

Agree to a point, bang for the buck power wise I don't think a Comp can be beat. But the Comp doesn't read and erase codes, or adjust tire size. I know the stealerships charge a pretty penny for a tire size recal. Same expense if you want high idle and 3 cyl warm up. If you have a scanner, the warm up software flash, and don't plan on changing tire sizes, Smarty may not be the way to go.

I understand the edge comp is the best bang for the buck, but I am not going to Tap the Pump Wire. So why would I spend the extra money for the same gains unless I am not understanding something? Just looking to give my truck extra muscle for towing and general driving. I appreciate all the imput and advice.

I have come down to either the TS or Smarty.

Thank you.

Smarty all the way between those two.

An update:

I bought the TS MVP and I happy with my purchase. The chip does everything I wanted plus some. Its almost no somke and pulls really well (to me anyway) from just about 15mph and up. Mine comes on around 8psi of boost hard, except I notice no power surge like some have. Although, I have driven lots of big single turbo trucks and kinda use to the surge of power when they light (thats what it feels like to me).

I will do an indepth review after I have the chip a bit, just hooked it up yesterday. However, I have one question. What is the boost suppose to be, based on turbo and fueling? I made a homemade j-hook setup and just wondering if I should get a slightly stiffer spring as I am only able to pull 23psi with the TS @ 50% (havent' gone 100% yet)

Thank you
