gauge, vp or something else
 

So on my way to work today i all of a sudden noticed my fuel pressure gauge said 0 :argh:, truck was running fine and has been running fine. I got to work gauge sat on 0 when idleing waiting for egts to go down, so i fired it back up and it was bouncing around between 0-10 after it sat an idled for a bit it sat on 0. After work it bounced around while she was warming up soon as i took off down to 0 and stayed there until I got home sat at 0 till I turned my truck off and back on then did the same thing with the bouncing really LOW. Got out the good ole smarty checked codes showed P0122 Throttle position sensor voltage low. What does that have to do with my fuel PSI? first time i had this code.
Anyways truck doesn't act like its starved of fuel. Still blows black when I get on it, has the same throttle response and all. Running the same all around as it was before I noticed the fuel psi. Have videos im uploading to youtube right now to put on here. Fuel pressure gauge is auto meter and only about 3-4 months old probably not even that old. Fuel PSI is normally about 17-18 idle. Any input would be great and why do i have a throttle position sensor code with this problem....

just went to start it again gauge stayed on 0 and didn't move. The lights are working on it thought but thats it. I'm thinking its the gauge somewhere... kinda cold to screw with it outside at 9:30

What type of gauge is it? Make, model, electric or mechanical. Have a snubber?

it is an autometer factory match for my year, not sure if its elec or mech, diesel shop ordered it and put it in. I just told them what I wanted for brand... I'll see if it says on my receipt

Due to pulsations from the VP, a snubber is required to smooth out the force. Without one, gauges die.

I sure hope they put the snubber in. It could be electrical issues as well. A loose wire, blow fuse, broken wire, even bad connectors at the gauge or sender.

The gauge is exactly three months old today.

Unfortunately, time doesn't mean much. I've seen parts last decades, and I've seen them fail in seconds.
It sounds like you still have good fuel pressure, but I wouldn't bet my $1000+ injection pump has good fuel pressure because there is a cloud of black behind me. If you can, get another gauge on there to confirm you have good pressure. Maybe take it back to the place that installed it, and see if you can get some warranty out of them. If not, hopefully they can find the problem.
