tuff country traction bars

Anyone have any experience with these or opinions?

I've always seen traction bars go under the axle and stretch a good deal from the axle to the frame.

There is a link to them, the mount on the axle I think looks kind of weak.

I don't see why they wouldn't work for DD and towing. Sled pulling or drag racing NO:td:

I do not have any experience with these. Personal I have put Lazar smith traction bars on all the trucks in the shop.

On a good note the Tuff countrys are out of the way by being on top.

Yeah I didn't think they would hold up well for anything more than cruising town. I want to get something that will keep that back end solid for drag and pull but still be forgiving for a dd and towing and also not be so out in the open. Something sleeperish.

I'm very interested in that find wyo! May have to give them a shot. I don't drag nor sled pull. But I do drive and tow a lot.

sorry, didnt pay attention to the link. I have the Tuff Country Ladder bars. They are about half the cost of the lazer smith ones

Both of those look like junk, I'm surprised those Lazar's don't buckle, anytime you build a link, you want as much of the threaded shank of the rod end inside the tube link. Curious if all those steps are separate tubes welded to eachother to taper down to a small enough tube that is threaded for the rod end?

Don't think so, looks like they've been machined down from the original OD. I was wondering about that too, it kind of looks weaker from than the actual bar. They are interesting though, might road trip down to pattonville to have a looksy :humm:

How do the springs move up and down without binding? :humm:
