Steering Box Brace ?
I just bought a new steering box stabilizer for my 98 Dodge 4x4 Cummins and have a question.
Are these DB steering box stabilizers for lifted trucks only or will they work and improve steering stability on OEM non altered [stock] trucks aswell ? :s: My 98' is not lifted. |
Re: Steering Box Brace ?

steering box brace
My dodge has just started to drive different and the right front tire is wearing different, I would not be surprized if everything needs to be replaced. I figure if I do these repairs and do not have an accident that this Dodge Cummins will last as long as I will be driving. I am retired and have only driven this truck three thousand miles in the last seven years.

They are a great investment for you pickup. They really do help.

Didn't do a darn thing for mine.

It helps with the sector shaftside to side wear in the gear box. All other componets need to be tight as well. If there is excessive clearence between the worm gear& sector gear it will not help:hellox:

I put one on my truck,But i also threw a new track bar, upper lower ball joints, tie rod ends,to the tune of about 2200,parts and labor.Kinda exspensive but no more death wobble or wandering!! Drives like a caddy now!

If your front tire(s) is wearing different then it could be a few different things. Id check ball joints, track bar, or alignment first. Just my 2 cents :c:
