Electronics or Injectors?

Hey guys! I need advice for more power. My question is this: To ditch my mild Hypertech tuner and get a more aggressive module? Or, keep the Hypertech and go with maybe 100hp injectors?

keeping the hypertech and adding injectors will give you the most options

even the most aggressive module is only going to gain you 60hp more

Thanks for the response! You mean 60hp more even with Edge Comp or Quadzilla? Tell me more about the options with injector upgrades please.

Re: Electronics or Injectors?

Get both injectors and a module lol, I would go with the module myself, I ran a small downloader with some 100 sticks and then swappethe stockers back in and ran the adrenaline, it was way better stickers with adrenaline.
Then when I swapped in the bigger injectors it really woke it up haha

I appreciate the info. Another issue that I'm facing with that type of module is I already have mechanical gauges that I want to keep using. Any suggestions?

if was going to put a larger module in i would use an edge comp to keep your mech gauges but heres the thing about the larger boxes they all tap the pump wire to get the extra hp (120hp comp vs 60hp hypertech) which can lead to vp44 failure, no not allways but yes it can thats why nobody will warrenty a pump that has been tapped

yes you could do a larger box and larger injectors but i'm assuming that you have a stock charger and that is going to be your limiting factor at this point, more fuel dosnt always mean more power if you cant burn it all

100hp injectors is going to be the largest injector you will be able to keep cool towing with a stock charger

I have read alot of negative issues with tapping the pump wire. I'm not crazy about the idea and that's the main reason I'm researching power gains with injectors. The stock turbo has limitations too. A turbo upgrade is not in my plans. That being said, I am still stuck needing advice please. Thanks!

so add 100hp injectors with your hypertech

turbostang7 08-14-2011 11:13 PM

agreed if you aren't going to change the turbo then stick with some bigger sticks and the hypertech, get either a boost elbow or j-hook depending on weather you have the hx or hy turbo and a boost fooler for it and you should be good to go

agreed... get some bigger injectors... then think air... exhaust, intercooler, the such.. then get it all to the ground with a good clutch/tc.. whatever it may be..
