does stack size change the noise

I know that an exhaust tip changes noise I got a 6 inch tip on mine and it changed the noise. I've been looking at putting a single stack in and was looking at getting a 6 or 7 inch stack. ANyone have experience with this sorta thing. I don't mind noise its not dd

ill say going from a 5 inch stack to a 6inch made it alot louder...

The larger the pipe the deeper the sound. Also, the thickness/type of metal pipe you use changes the sound. Thicker metal makes a more solid sous while thinner metal makes it kinda tinny sounding

my cousin had an 8in cannon as I called it on his CR, it sounded pretty sweet but it was LOUD, real deep

Red_Rattler 07-18-2011 10:36 PM

and annoyed the hell outa the occupants on long rides in the drone zone... I have a 7" on the 95 and can verify this lol On a DD i would never have a stack :s:

That drone depends a lot on the muffling device, although anything bigger than 6" would be excessive loud. My 4" stack doesn't have any more cab noise than the tailpipe did, just lucked out on choosing the right muffler.
