i looking a at white 98 24v its white and gray at the bottom it has some rust on the bottom and a little hole on the bottom of the door i was thinking about rhino-lining or that spary in bed liner in a can stuff just along the rocker panels but was't sure if this is a good idea or not i didn't no if anyone else has did this or had any advice on the subject pictures are welcome

Yes there are a couple of trucks that I have seen that done. Some of them were in salt area's (NY,CO,MD) were the winter's are or salt water. If money is good then having a professional do it is the best .If not they have a roll on kit at pep boys. I would first make sure that the water that get's in the door can find its way out before you go and spray the lining on. So it doesn't rust from the inside out anymore you may want to take the inside trim off the door and do a inspection for rust.

You can also do the bumpers.

alright do you no how durable the roll on or how long it will last

I put Dupli Color bed liner on my rocker panels and around the fenders about 4 months ago or so. Seems to be holding up well. I bought the kit with a gallon of bed liner, brush, roller, tray, all the stuff you need. It did two trucks, fenders and rockers.

The picture of the white truck are images found on Google. I'm not sure exactly what product they used.

Thanks for the compliment on the bumper. I was debating over getting one or not. After seeing multiple cars and trucks with Deer dents on a drive, my decision was made.

I want to do this so bad. What color of liner would look best with my red truck?

I like that. Some nice black rims like some MOTO METALS would top it off.

staylorw250 07-21-2011 10:11 PM

definatly black with the red paint

BACONBITSFORU 07-22-2011 12:20 AM

yea I guess so.... I want to do this really bad but im sure id mess it up lol

Line-X is the best you can get from a large franchise type applicator. Polyurea is the best possible, but pure polyurea is hard to find. J2 is what it would probably be called, comes from SPI. Unless you would rather save money than have it done right then you can do the self application stuff because it doesn't last very long. I've been spraying liners for 8 years in everything from pick-ups to cyanide containment areas, trust me.

Rob_wells06 07-28-2011 05:50 PM

so what brand of the diy stuff do yall prefer. i really want to do this to my truck. also is there some type of uv protector you can do after its done?

thanks
rob:rocking:

gump 07-29-2011 05:36 PM

I could get a liner with a UV protestant blended in. All it did was keep the color from losing its original shine. Not sure if every brand can do the same thing. It can get a bit more spendy for sure.

@ BACONBITSFORU
I don't know how far from Stephenville you are man but there's a small performance shop here that used to do the application, called J7 I believe, but I can't say for sure if they still do. I'll look into it tomorrow for ya. :c:
