stacking chips making power

so this is my first cummins i got a 01 24v and i understand what the chips do i had a 6.5 chevy i did alot of work to but i wanted more power so when you say you stack chips how does that work, anyone know? when you start doing that how much you need to do to your engine? im going to probly end up doing as much as i can to beat my buddys gas job tundra because hes ragging on cummins pretty bad and im going to shut him down stat for bragging rights so i want to do everything with out huge engine over haul

If you have 2 programmers that load through the OBD II port, you upload one to the computer, then you unplug it and load the tune from the other one too.
It you have a module like an Edge, then you use a programmer that plugs into the OBD II port and load that on top of the Edge

just hook a chain to the back while your cummins is stock. teach his tundra a lesson

Stacking chips is NOT the answer to huge power. You need your mechanical components to support the fuel. Let's say you stack a Smarty and Edge Comp. That's A LOT of fuel, but your air is still minimal. It will give you smoke, which is wasted fuel, accompanied with high EGT's (bad).

stacking on a vp truck is ok but for the gains go with one good box like an adrenaline or edge comp, then its like rawilliams said do the mechanical things from there on. Stacking will get you to much timing if not done right and by then its not worth the money you have spent.

i was looking to get injectors, vp, good lift pump but i cant do it all at once i was going to get a 150 lift pump then later 120-150 injectors but i read you need a better vp for that and if i dont have a programmer yet will one thing get hurt if i put it in befor the other. i know i can get away with the lift pump first but if i cant get the others what order can i go without hurting one without the other?

Get a lift pump first and and gauges like fuel pressure, boost, and egt. Plus a good stage 2 air intake and a good 4 inch exhaust. Unless you go with like a edge juice with attitude programmer which has a built in set of gauges that monitors all that. Then you could go with injectors of that size and then I would look into a turbo like a 62/12 or 14 and a exhaust manifold.....

And you cant load 2 tuners through the obd2 port which ever one is more aggressive will override the least aggressive one since you cant have to separate lines on code in the ecm

Thats not quite correct. Which ever downloader you use will erase or overwrite what is in the ecm to begin with. Example a superchip will overwrite a smarty then you will have the power of the superchip, not the smarty.
