CRANKCASE BOTTLE RELOCATOR KIT

HEY anyone got that 88-02 Dodge 5.9L Cummins CrankCase Breather Relocation Kit from Peak Diesel Performance installed on their 01' im trying to figure out a good place to install it any suggestions ??? :humm:

Make your own... Or do what I did on my old 2000. Take the POS bottle off and get a longer hose and be done with it.

I agree with Red Rattler.

I just got rid of the bottle and extended my hose down with about a foot and a half of heater hose.

If you relocate the bottle somewhere under the hood, it's still going to make a mess

true easy fix well the bottle i got is far far better then the oem catch bottle i already bought it thought id give it a shot got it off puredieselpowers site , twice the size of the oem so im stuck trying to figure where to mount it :humm:

i just bought a cummins what is it you guys are talking about is it a catch can for blowby or what????

RAW 12-09-2010 09:55 PM

Thats exactly what it is, sometimes known as the "slobber can".

derek7217 12-09-2010 10:09 PM

u see mine doesnt have that i dont think and there is oil all over the front of my engine i was thiking of making the hose longer and running it over the engine and to somewhere at the back of the pickup such as between the cab and box and capping it with a small breather of filter what do you guys think of that will it work or will i run into any problems with this!!!

RAW 12-09-2010 10:13 PM

Probably best to run it straight down and be done with it. When you add horizontal hose, it increases the probability of getting plugged up.

Farmboy 2.0 12-09-2010 10:18 PM

I agree with RAW. I would just run it straight down.... i need to do mine this winter while its all torn down and outta commission
