If your power goal 500 you might as well go billet input and output. Just build it right the first time so you don't have issues down the road. Been there done that.

My trans is built for 600hp. I went with all BD products in my stock housing. I have a billet flex plate, billet input shaft, billet triple disk TC, HD valve body, HD clutches, and double deep pan. I would suggest a billet output shaft if you are going to do sleds if not there is no need for it. Also if you are going to pull sleds I would suggest a 48re orbital. It bolts right in. Mine cost me $6500 installed. If you buy a pre-built one it will cost you around $5000 plus core charge and shipping of your core and the removal of your old one plus the install. Good Luck.

You also need the output if your going to be racing. I blew my stock one up on a 20psi launch. was making 603 when it did it, but I got lucky it went as long as it did.
