absolutly.................not everyone has a multi meter or knows how to use one thats prolly why the instros says to use a test light, but if ya have the equipment and knowlege so much the better

What is the stealth plate good for? Just a better connection between you (chip) and pump or does it help the pump by itself?

Someone correct me if i am wrong but when the trucks were new this item could be removed prior to going in for warranty service at the dealer and put the old cover back on and they never know.

This is where I did things a little different. The "destructions" say to use a test light to check for power at the Stealth Plate's probe. I never, EVER use a test light on ANY computer circuits. I believe they are for tail lights and such. I used my multi meter to see when power is tapped into, then added my extra half turn.

Snipped the supplied probe from the Edge off, and soldered on eye-lit and heat shrink over the eye-lit and wire protector.

In my opinion, I believe every tapped VP44 should have one of these. No pre-twisting wires to install onto the outside wires of the VP44, and no doubt of a proper connection.

What do you mean by adding an extra turn?

To ensure proper penetration.....

The instructions say after power is located on the tapping pin to give an extra half turn on the screw. As is was said above, for proper penetration and connection.
