DB Admin 09-09-2009 11:28 PM

KORE said it will raise the rear 1 inch , i have a new plan for my truck , going with bigger tires , taking it up more than it is , and i want a rally bar in the bed with matching spare

If the rear raises 1 inch will the distance between my front tire and the cab side of the fender increase?

Captain Call 09-10-2009 12:16 AM

No on the fender deal. Now about the packs. Those leafs will diminish the capacity of the truck. I'm sure you know but I thought I'd say it anyways. I mean you can still haul plenty but she'll sag more.

not according to KORE

Improve your street ride and off road performance while maintaining your load capacity.

I had a set in my '03 and loved them. they raised the rearend 1"
and the truck will sit a little lower with a heavy load but the DO NOT decrease your weight capacity. they basically make your spring travel more progressive, with the stock setup once you are on the overload you have very little (if any)travel left.

Captain Call 09-10-2009 09:19 AM

Ok let me define my definition of capacity. Yes they will "carry" the weight at a cost. By "sagging like they do" they compromise handling characteristics of the trucks design. In most cases its fine for the average joe who only loads said truck once in a while. As someone who has 2000-2500lbs in the bed 100% of the time I stand by my first statement. Only my observation....you have yours too.
