Which injectors for new engine?
 

Im building a new engine to replace my cracked 53 block. Its getting compleatly torn down, hot tanked, magna fluxed, Ballanced & blueprinted, Its also getting a hamilton "HD Big Stick" cam, new push rods, & valve springs, The Pistons & barings are getting coted, & also getting O-Ringed & studded, Along with some head work. Im trying to figure out witch injectors I should get for the new motor. Its getting close to being done so i need to hurry up and decide. Iv heard everything from stay with the 120's that are in my sig to Mach 4's Mach 6's & everything inbetween. So take a look at my sig & what the new engine is getting & give me your thoughts please. This is my daily driver in the smoke hateing southern CA. So please give me your input TIA

get some ddp 150's not sure how big your turbo is etc, but the 150's are good stuff, or maybe some 200's

The turbo is like a 64/71/14 i think & ya im trying to choose between the mach 4's (150 hp)& mach 5's (200hp) Just dont know witch ones to get yet:argh:

If you do any towing you should go with Mach 4's. The truck may not get got with m5's but with the 4's you wont have to worry about it especially if its your DD. A 200hp injector may be a little too much fuel for a 64mm turbo for a street application. Just my .02

I do vary little towing, It is my DD. I have been thinking the Mach 4's but than people are telling me that with the cam & head work its going to be less smoky & the turbo is going to light faster, and that the Mach 5's or even 6's would not be that smoky with the stuff I have:humm:

Go with the 200's. Are you dead set on the F1 Injectors?

I am not dead set on them, But I have been doing a lot of research & from what I have been finding they sound like the cleanest & best performing injectors, But also the most expensive. But im open to suggestions.

How about a set of DDP 200's or there Comp 250's?

How smoky would they be with the stuff in my sig + head work & a cam? Remember this is my daily driver & I am in southern CA ware they HATE smoke.

if you do little towing and with your head work then go with the 200's. From what i've Competition injectors like to haze regardless of head work/turbo. Even with a 64 mm turbo it will smoke quite a bit until it fully spools. Californians dont care for dense smoke on the highway.
