I am bringing this back to the top because I am asking the same questions as JD140h3. I see his sig now includes the Air Dog pump.
Our new sponser (Diesel Distributors) has what seems to me to be a very good price on the AirDog system (about $200 less than the FASS).
Is there enough difference in the two to justify the exrta money for the FASS? I have read lots about people's experiances with the FASS. What about the Air Dog? Are they noisey or unreliable? What are people's opinions on the quality of the system and their customer service? What kind of pressure can one expect with it?

From what I can tell the Air Dog has a 1 year warranty compared to the FASS which has a 6 year warranty. I know nothing about the Air Dog as I only carry the FASS Systems.

AirDog now has a 6year warranty. Also they are on sale for 500 bucks. I will be getting a AirDog. FASS is the same as AirDog and the inventor/owner of AirDog's son took the idea from his dad(AirDog) and made his own product I guess to compete with his dad. Doesn't sound very nice of son to do something like that to his dad, but to each his own.

I ain't tryin to sell anybody on anything different cause I think both of these are good products but in the interest of knowing all the options available. I installed a belt driven lift pump a few weeks back and so far it's lookin like the greatest thing since sliced bread hit the market.

FASS all the way for me!!!

From my research what SuperDave4X4 said is true. The Airdog was actually first and it was pretty popular, then when the FASS came out that seemed to be the hot ticket.
It's appears that when the AirDog was new, he pretty much had the market cornered and the price was high--like pushing $1K. Was the popularity of the FASS due to price and subsequent good results?

Don't know much about the AD. But the FASS well for me and my clients.

A guy on another forum asked the same question and there is some info on the airdog and it's owner. It seems as Charlie, airdog inventor, was sick for a while and had to take the back seat while someone else ran the company. Also from what I've read that guy didn't really try to market the airdog for our needs, only the big trucks.

Here's the thread...

Please don't think I'm trying to pursuede anyone into buying a AirDog because I'm sure it may seem like it on the other end. I'm just trying to post helpful information on this product that I've ran across the past few weeks.

You are running Straight Veggie in your truck? Please tell me more. I would like to do this too. I thought the newer trucks were not good for straight veggie. Especially the 6.0 powerstroke. If anyone wants to know more I have a pretty neat way to filter it. I blend it with diesel though. Cheers!:jump:
