can I put 24v heads on a 12v block or am I just crazy.:humm: Dont answer the second question

yes you can but you have to have alot of custom things made because of the injectors being on the same side as the IP, Im not really sure it would be worth it though unless your planning on HUGE power the 12v head is just fine, you will flow more air but it may not really be noticable for a street machine:c:

Maybe you have some fuel problem?
Dr.Evil is right, try a Bluechip, they are supposed to be a dang good pump.

Same prob here wit han 02. shes got the HO engines, 80 K miles, NON modified & the VeryPoor 44 went out . Know wehere I can get a VP44 for the HO? Go all out & replace wit hthe p7100, the way it should have stayed ( org proto types of te 24 v USED the 7100)

I'm seriously thinking about swaping engines to get rid of that POS " VeryPoor 44" Or goto Cananda & get a Diesel Toyota, just to keep an inline engine..

bd makes a performance vp44 which is supposed to be legit...hasnt been out too long but id be tempted to look into it...power gains are more than decent, and you dont have any of the other bagage like you would w/ say the monster (mandatory injectors, crazy lope, etc...) just something to think about

I would go p-pump if I had that many problems with my vp. you can get parts from wrecking yards and save some money or just buy the kit as it only takes a couple vps to pay for a p-pump conversion

p pump is by far the best way to go after owning 3 vp trucks myself i know and im a true fan on the 24v over the 12v for obivous reasons much more tuneable egro more performance. i got all my vp44 replacements from industrial injection and they all worked well but i never got a aftermarket pump i heard to many bad things about them. but anyone who knows anything about a p-7100 knows of it legendary dependablity as well as its capablity of producing insane amounts of fuel if your are planning on keeping your truck for a lengthy amount of time the p pump is the way to got u may lose cruise control but i got a foot and it seems to work fine lol
