has anyone heard anything negative about the quadzilla adrenaline. any help would be very welcomed

not really i have one and would not trade it for 3 smartys and 5 edge juice with attitudes!!!, it rocks!!!

I have one also and ive had

2 Edge EZ's
5 Edge Comp Boxes
1 Smarty
2 Mad ECM's

And I like the Adrenaline Better than them all and so does my truck

I'll tell you when I get mine back.

are they hard to figure out if have never messed with any kind of programmer or tuner

Yes i got some ABS codes that went away on there own , Ill be honest Ive done alot of this and that to my truck and the biggest seat of the pants difference was the Super B charger it was a night and day truck , Sticks and a Programmer just support the charger :)

The best part of Bombing is that first ride and the wow effect , ive done mods and didnt notice anything , and ive done alot of mods and was over whelmed with the Negatives of the mod and not much impressed with its positives , With just about every mod there set backs , negative factors .

The Smarty is a good example , Driveabillity Sucked on all setting , Surge Issues , No Cruise Control , Transmission Shifted like i was holding the pedal to the floor , no really my triple disk shifted so hard i would go under my charger and huff it every gear WOT and Daily driving , My Combination wasnt jiving with that .

The Adenaline dont come on smooth at all , its like non exsitant then Bam there it is but it maintains its self and shifts smooth and the power is smooth ,

I couldnt go up my drive way with a smarty , truck would keep shifting , what the smarty did to my truck was made 1/2 throtle full throtle , and everything past 1/2 throtle was give and take full throtle dead spots ect and this made feathering the throtle impossible .

My truck wont get the RPMS i had with the smarty and it has defuled with the adrenaline , Something to remember about defueling is it isnt a 100% thing ,,

It cuts back at the toper RPMS ,,, like 3,000 RPM = 10% Defuel 3,100 RPM = 15% Defuel ect , with the smarty it would rev till it exsploded which was cool but something i really dont need right now ,

I dont even use the Adrenaline Gauges , its all about the Power :) and streeting it

i have a smarty and adraline only combo other than the redline that has let me hit 4k but with the smarty and adraline it does it with no codes! i love my adraline and have had tst, redline, edged ez and the smarty. there are some surge issues with the bigger comp tunes but all in all its good!:choochoo:

id stay clear of it, ive got 3 buddies trying to send thiers back, they hate them, my edge juice smokes the doors off of them and the advertized power of the adrenaline is more. lol ive talkd to several diesel shops around here too and each one of them hates it. one told me that when they installed it on a stcok truck, they only saw a 105 hp increase at best. thats 75 hp less then advertized and when i dynoed my 98.5, the juice gave me 112 hp increase. the adrenaline seems that it works best if stacked with a smarty or simliar program but as a stand alon unit, it sucks. course some are better then others, i know they have had quality control problems since they strted selling them. my advice is to wait till this fall, let them work out the bugs and then try it.:booo::booo:

were those numbers at the wheels? if so that sounds about right depending on if they had a manual or an automatic. Most all manufactures will rate their programmers in crank HP. an automatic will absorb more HP than a manual tranny due to rotating mass.

90% of the people I talk to like the Adrenaline much better than there TST/Smarty or Edge/Smarty Stacks. Yes they are still working out the bugs but Edge had there share of problems as well.

the AD is Ok. I had surging problems with the 1000a tune so i loaded the 1000 tune today and the surging is gone.
The Pulse has some really great features but the .02c buttons on it just plain suck!! I'm about ready to sell it and go back to the Smarty/ Comp stack.

from what ive gatherd, a lot depends on the rest of the truck and how its set up, people that are running the adrenaline as a standalone system seem to be having more issues then those that are modded farther. my buddy pulled his last night, went back to his drag comp, we dynoing it this weekend at the same dyno, we tried the adrenaline on, ill let you guys know, itll be the same truck, so we'll find out the true numbers it can produce.:pca1:

what tunes did they have on them because the new comp tunes pull much much harder than the smarty tst stack and the smarty redline stack.

i've tried this already. same truck mods and same dyno. different days which i know makes some what of a difference. with the drag comp i hit 505 hp and with the adr 484 hp. on a graph(not SOTP), the drag comp seemed to pull harder in the 2k-3k rpm range. and in all out competition, that to me is where it mostly counts.

i have been wondering what a drag comp/adr stack would do? is it possible?

Quad sent me some new buttons and now my Pulse works perfectly.

What tune were you running in the adrenaline?

i tried 2 tunes. one was one of the 1st adr dyno and the other was the beta adr 3000 test tune. the 3000 beta test was the one that made the most.

i dont think you can stack boxes, my friend and i ran the tests on the same day, we paid for the whole day so we dynoed several times, so i know that the difference would be minimal if any

I bought a adrenaline/pulse for my '99 5spd had it for a week now. its the only mod done to my rig besides exhaust. I love it and haven't had any problems with it. The buttons on my Pulse work fine. It pulls hard :U: and it was pretty easy to figure out everything as far as settings.

I sure hope that you have a fuel system on that truck too.

Well i fixed my Pulse button problem, i just used some Scotch brite on the contacts on the circuit board and now it works perfectly.:U: Also now that i updated my Pulse and loaded the 1000a tune the IAT reading works. It didn't work with the 1000 tune.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the advertisement claim 180hp/420ftlb gains "AT THE REAL WHEELS" for the vp44 trucks?

Those dyno #'s must have been with the stock tunes.

All in all I like mine. I have only tried a few tunes on it. I will try the 1000a tune to get the AIT to work.

For adjustability and the display, I will stay with the Adrenaline/Pulse.

Have you gotten that Smarty stacked yet???

I am going to have to try the Comp tunes. The 1000 and 2000 surge too much for me.

I just got it back last week and I've been trying to sell it so I didnt put the ADR back on yet. I may throw it on this week for testing purpouses though.
