sorry to hear about the pump problem Cliff!!!
|
we had a problem starting a truck after the IP swap, turned out to be the FF air bound. I took a nice Diesel bath bleeding the FF housing but she fired right up after.
|
Mine can be a pain to start, you say you've got 10psi though...
I ran mine out of fuel the other day, took me an hour to get it restarted, finally I got to wondering and pulled the filter apart,NO FUEL! ARRRGGG! Heh,just ran the pump a couple times with the filter off, then when it started filling the filter housing I put the filter back in,and bled to the IP,then bled to the head, fired right up. I'm sure you've tryed that. sounds to me like maybe you've got too thick of a headgasket or something, like not enough compression, hope I'm wrong. I see scott said the same thing, not trying to steal your thunder bro! |
Even the thickest head gasket available wont reduce the compression enough to not fire the fuel. Sounds like what a couple of you have said...probably an empty FF that isnt getting primed. BTW- DO NOT SPRAY ANYMORE ETHER IN THAT ENGINE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY A NEW ONE. You're stripping the cylinders and pistons of any lubricant when you do that and now the engine is running with no lube above the piston rings.
