My trucks supposed to have arp studs in it but they look stock someone told me today..i boughtt the truck with all this stuff on it i was told by the guy i bought it from,,,ithe guy i bought it from gave me the number to the shop that did the work to it and i called them they told me arp made head bolts at one time..does anyone knw if this is true?? On the top of the bolt i can see it says /// 12.9. Can anyone help me ? Those are the head bolts on the out side of the valve cover right?

Your thinking is correct, those are not studs.

The row of bolts beside the rocker cover are some of your head bolts. If you had studs, you would see this style:

Also the 12.9 you see on the bolt is the grade of the bolt.

12.9 is the stock grade bolts used from the factory, It is however a very strong bolt.

First make sure your radiator fins arn't plugged up then flush the coolant and install a new thermostat. I'd change the temp sending unit also, and see if any of this helps. Sounds and looks like a nice rig but also ATS has a bad rep around here from what I've read. :c:
