Smarty And Edge EZ Stack Question

my truck is mainly stock and have had the smarty on it for about 2 years now and love it, but recently got an edge ez and i was wondering what most of you are running the this combo on for the best performance and mileage if there is such a thing

Thanks

I always ran the smarty on 3 with the EZ for daily driving :)

Really??

Didn't that timing rattle about do you in?

Typically, with the Edge adding timing, the Smarty would run an even numbered program or no timing.

How does it drive??

That sort of makes sense to me.. I just got my Smarty, yesterday. (Thanks Chad!:U:)
:c: I realize everyone recommends running even numbers when stacked with an edge or other chip that handles timing.

I'm thinking that the Edge over rides the ECM to handle timing. So if I set the Smarty program on an odd # (with timing), with the edge turned off, the Smarty program loads on the ECM and handles it's own timing. That way I can run without the edge turned on.

Then when I turn the edge on, it over rides the ECM and handles timing.

Make sense? or not...

I haven't tried either setup yet. Just running level 2 on the Smarty and level 2 on the edge, for daily driving. I'm waiting to fill the tank, then I'll set the new tire size.

The Smarty says that the stock tire size is 0 (zero)

i got the edge today and who would of guess'd its snowing like crazy, so as soon as it stops the edge will be installed and i will play it and see what setting i like on it and the smarty

You know I call bs on the same I ran my smarty with drag comp and usually ran it on even #'s without timing but found that if i ran it on odd#'s I actually got better performance and Mileage. But I listen to all these guy's say well do this do that, I'm done with that. The smarty was supposed to be the best thing to run with the tst pm3 but I already had the drag comp with it and loved it. So I decided what the hell I'll try the tst. Bad move My truck ran better with the drag comp than the tst pm3 I even ran the drag comp in ez mode with the tst pm3 and the smarty in odd and even #'s. Well enough said, I like my Adrenaline now:choochoo: And I still have my 650.00 dollar code reader aka/ smarty:c:

Best box I have ever run is the Drag Comp (Juice).

I spoke with a buddy of mine today and he told me he lost 2 10ths at the track with the Adrenaline. But he is on the beta software.

His truck did over 560 with the Drag comp and some mid sized injectors.

been playin with the new stack today, tried it on 3 and 3 and it seemed to rattle the valves a quiet a bunch more than usual,so i tried the smarty on all the other settings and WOW this stack makes big differance, i think i am really gonna like it alot, dont know how much i am gonna drive it since diesel went to $3.75 a gallon today, but i finally set it on 3 by 4 (smarty) and i think i am gonna run it there for awhile and seehow itdoes but i like it so far, i can control the smoke real well and it will still set you back in the seat with out going full throttle, after i get back from iraq gonna throw some injectors in it and see about a turbo, that should really wake it up
