one things for sure, when I have a bomb party to do my head, it will be on a weekend that you can come help cause you're getting to be an expert on the R&R of a 24V head!!!

haha nothing to them! set it, stud it, and re-assemble valve train then adjust the valves and put the rest back together... just that easy almost as easy as replacing a late model GM/chev motor.
hopefully Ill get lucky and have my dump truck running this week then Ill start on the green truck this weekend and have it running..... but if it wasnt for bad luck I woudlnt have any at all so I wont hold myself to having it running this weekend:argh::ouch: |

Not to bring back an old thread... but was just wondering.. if one was to either get the injector lines off of the 2005-2006 truck along with the head would they bolt right up to the 2nd gen pump and everything else, or will this cause some issues?? Or if one was to just get a set of new injector lines to take care of the line to injector issue... would this work, although I know it would be more money!! Also if I am not mistaken I believe I read that you do use the stock 2nd gen head gasket correct??

The 03-07 are common rail so the fuel lines wont work. Easiest way is to buy the crossover tubes and use your factory fuel lines. New fuel lines would be big money! Yes you do use a 2nd gen headgasket (marine 12V or stock 24) :U: |
I know you did all the work to your truck but why not just switch everything over to the CR block and head giguring the CR block is strong along with the Piston desighn is better.
