Thanks very much for the info, I'm starting to get a little concerned about my configuration. I'm going to do the 4k GSK next for sure, and I'm looking at the Super B or the BatMoWheel s300 both at 62-4mm. I've read that fuel lean can be a problem if I'm not careful. I'm from the gas engine mechanic world so I understand what lean can do to an engine, burn S#!t up. I imagine the same is true with a diesel. So I figure with an adjustable boost elbow I can limit boost pressure so I get a grey haze at WOT and be ok on mixture. Right now with no boost elbow I can hit 40 psi and there seems to be no end. With the 5x.014 injectors I assume I have enough fuel for a 40ish psi 62-4mm Super B and still not have to worry about lean issues.

Ya know I never thought this thing would be such a monster, and your comment about "if you use it as a truck, then don't go much more then a 62mm" is starting to really hit home but I got the bug bad.

So here is what I'm looking at:
62-4mm Bullseye Power Turbos
Super B BD-Power Super "B" SPECIAL Single Turbo 1045120
4K GSK with 60# valve springs: Cummins Performance Parts CPP 12v Performance Upgrades 4kGSK

And I really need to shop around because this is bumping up to $2k real quick and it looks like a head gasket and studs are in the mix too.

All advise really appreciated.

for me the super B isnt enough. it works well but for the amount of fuel i have it is HOT with an #11 slid all the way back. it takes off great but cant flow enough up top for me. a 62 will be better but at the end of the day it most likely will have to have a small exhaust housing/turbine so that the truck is usable. one of those things where you cant have it all. only other logical idea is a small set of towing twins, but then you cant go hook to a sled and play. a 64/65 turbo will surge i will recommend you away from it. a 62 is a great turbo for a mild/medium build, as is the super B.

put in some full cut delivery valves alone with doing the timing,will make a big diff.i,m still running stock injectors with the dv's , pump tweaks &stock turbo,seat of the pants dyno i think i'm in the 300hp range.isn't it fun.:tu:

i agree i had them in my truck when my cummins was in the dodge way to hot even when i was running my super 62 and hx35/40 hybrid i was happyer with a set of 191s

Just finished my next mods
 
I think I'm at a comfortable stopping place for now. Just finished installing a Phat Shaft 62/70/12 Turbo and am back to 40+ psi, also put in 4k GSK, spools up nicely, max temp on the manifold side is 1100 degrees not loaded so I'll watch my temp closely when towing up the pass with the boat on the back. Overall I'm pretty happy for now, in October I'll go with the Snow Performance Tow Max water / meth injector, ARP studs and gasket and have the valves done while I'm in there, an Air Dog 150 lift pump, and push my timing to 16.5.

Still guessing at the current HP, I'll dyno it after the last mods in October. Not sure what else I'd do after this except focus on suspension and air bags for the camper.

Any more suggestions are welcome of course.

I made 426 1000+ on a set of 5X0.014s 4K GSK and Goerend trans truck was a 98 auto
