Just curious
What is a rack plug and what does it do for the hp if anything at all. I've read about them one or twice but don't know what it looks like or what it really does
|
It allows full rack travel.

Or in a more detailed fashion,
The rack plug is on the front of the pump and stops the internal rack(fuel control device) for moving too far. When the rack moves forward and back it turns the plungers and controls how much fuel is delivered. Installing a plug with a deeper hole in it will allow the rack to move farther and the pump will deliver more fuel. |
Ok I see now. So it'd be worth the couple bucks that they cost to have one
|
Only if the plug is what is holding you back from full rack travel. If your AFC isn't set up correctly to allow that much travel then it will do you no good.
